Italian-born Marco Sartorelli produces deep, spacy, hypnotic techno as Marco Shuttle, drawing from influences such as American minimalism and dub as well as acid house and electro. Active as a club promoter and DJ since his teenage years, he moved to London in order to attend Saint Martins and earn an M.A. in fashion design. He began a DJ residency at Süd Electronic, and launched his own weekly event series. His first single, "Numash," appeared on MiniSketch in 2007. This was followed by Don't Laugh at Me on Serialism Records (2008), "The Horror" on Brut! (2010), and the club hit "The Vox Attitude" on Färden Records (2011). In 2012, Clone released Shuttle's All Around the Fires EP, and he launched his Eerie label with the EPs Modula and There's No Point... That's the Point. Simmetria Delle Stringhe and an EP of "The Vox Attitude" remixes followed in 2013, as Shuttle's booking schedule filled up, with appearances at noted clubs such as Fabric (London), Berghain (Berlin), The Bunker (New York), and others. "Sing Like a Bird," an out-of-body experience on wax by Peter van Hoesen's Time to Express, and Fanfara on The Bunker New York were both released in 2014. Shuttle also issued his debut LP, Visione, on Eerie at the end of the year. "Sing Like a Bird (Reprise)" was issued by Eerie in 2015, and Flauto Synthetico appeared on Donato Dozzy and Neel's Spazio Disponibile in 2016. After relocating to Berlin, Shuttle released his second album, Systhema, again on Spazio Disponibile, in 2017. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
