Purveyors of atmospheric indie pop, Tiny Fireflies is a collaboration between Chicago lo-fi songwriter/musicians and <a href="spotify:artist:11Tn9IBDXqWSdQDOWX3OzE">Very Truly Yours</a> bandmates Kristine Capua (aka <a href="spotify:artist:6twdL5J0nhpapHdzsZDsd5">Tiny Microphone</a>) and Lisle Mitnik (aka <a href="spotify:artist:3SkyLUkD1aWY6AyBiYQ3I6">Fireflies</a>). With Capua on vocals, they released a somber eponymous EP in 2010 that included a movingly murky version of the <a href="spotify:artist:5b2OzvLaL6nyxw5pbVbSdy">Skeeter Davis</a> hit "The End of the World." A year later they followed up with the EP Change, and the stand-alone single "Picture Perfect" arrived in 2012. Written by Capua and produced by Mitnik with Ian Catt (<a href="spotify:artist:1N2FgBLehaq77UEdJhCt7f">Saint Etienne</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1C4F7PHDaEkp5ZL1rkkmrE">the School</a>), the band's still melancholy but synth poppier full-length debut, The Space Between, was issued in late 2015. ~ Marcy Donelson, Rovi
