TMG FRE$H not only shines on tape and in front of the camera, but he also designs his own world as a creator and auteur. That world has already inspired millions of views and streams globally. Now, the Los Angeles-based hip-hop artist, writer, director, and producer continues to expand the scope of his vision on his 2021 debut EP, Margiela Language [TMG Records], award-winning short film Sins of the Father, and more to come.
“My music is the artistic expression of my life,” he says. “Everything has real roots. I just try to figure out a creative way to express myself, exaggerate it, put a different twist on it, amplify it, and make it even bigger. I want you to listen to me when you’re in different moods. I’m giving you a song for every emotion.” “I wanted to establish a foundation for me as an artist, so that’s why the EP encompasses different moods, emotions, and elements of my life,” he explains. “It feels like my first real project, so I threw everything in there. Art has multiple sides to it. As far as duality goes, Margiela is high fashion, so I’m speaking the language of that. It’s deeper than the surface level glamour though. You don’t know who you can trust. Betrayals, loneliness, and pain come from that vulnerability. That’s what Margiela Language is.”
