Tobia Lamare is a mainstay of the Salento (south east Italy) alternative music scene. His large parties have hosted international and underground artists the likes of Dave Rowntree of Blur, Mike Joyce of The Smiths, and many more.
Lamare has opened for bands such as Kings Of Convenience and Iggy Pop and the Stooges. In Europe, he has toured far and wide playing in clubs, bookshops, big festivals (Sziget) and everything in between. Lamare’s travels have extended in Germany, Belgium, Ireland, U.K., Spain, the States, Netherlands and all over Italy.
From Dublin to Barcelona to Berlin to London to Nashville, Lamare has connected with audiences worldwide.He has worked extensively composing music for the theatre, art stalls and cinema for movies.
Tobia has released four albums as solo artist: The Party (2010), Are you ready for the freaks? (2012), ‘Summer Melodies’ (2017), "Songs For The Present time" (2019), “Heart in a Meat Grinder” (2024).
Lamare’s record label, Lobello Records, is based on a small organic farm near Lecce in the countryside of southern Italy. Located near the beach, Lobello Records has fostered a small network of artists that embrace sea life and surf culture. Since 2008, Lamare has produced bands, documentaries, and artistic residencies with the aim of building a bridge between music and the waves.
