When Tom was about 8 years old, he discovered his mother's records which included, among others, Quincy Jones'/Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and "Off the Wall", as well as a number of Stevie Wonder records. Those records have heavily influenced him until today.
At age 9 to 13, he learnt the basics of how to play the piano, and later on how to use the drumset but he has not actively created any music. Instead, for many years, he has been a very appreciative consumer of 70s/80s music, pop, soul, acid jazz, jazz/funk, hip hop - and also classical music, particularly when used in movies.
In 2016, Tom bought a piano and an Apple iMac and started composing little tunes and movie scores for short films. In 2018, he discovered the possibility to publish tracks on Spotify and started publishing, just how he felt doing it, first without any professional mixing/mastering. Even though the earlier tracks do not meet professional standards, he still released them because he had a personal connection (e.g. „Happiness“ which is based on his score for a sad short film) - and since they also show the development.
In 2020, he decided to take his music, professional- and quality-wise, to higher levels and has started working intensively, and with well-renowned professionals, including Grammy Winners, on new music in various styles from RnB/Acid/Funk/Jazz to lounge/background music.
