20 years ago the stakes were high and ska was everywhere! Teenagers were skankin' and a-swimming to catchy rhythms, upbeat drums and beatdown horn sections. It was exactly that sound that brought brothers Brian and Matthew Middleton together with their newfound pal, Tim Card. The trio immediately decided to start a ska band and set to work on it straightaway.
It wasn't too long after that that they succeeded and the fruits of their labor were awesome! The trio of fellas were constantly involved in music of one form or another, branching out and embracing other genres as they saw fit, but ska was never far from their hearts. As they grew older and started families and "careers" the time they had to jam together grew short.
Then something miraculous happened: The Toasters came to town! As matt and brian found themselves skankin' and a-swimming again for the first time in years (this time with the wisdom of age as well as the aches and wrinkles that come part and parcel with it) the idea came to them to go once more unto the breach and start a new ska band. This time with the wisdom of age as well as the aches and wrinkles that come part and parcel with it! They called up a few of their best pals and got to work straightaway.
And they called themselves...Tom Nevers Field!
