During lockdown times Belgian guitarplayer Tom Vanstiphout (Bryan Ferry, Milow) found himself alone with his collection of guitars and a string of instrumental pieces he started writing a year before. The original idea for these pieces was a collaboration with Petrit Ceku, a classical guitar virtuoso from Kosovo. Tom and Petrit met on a tour in 2018 and the two of them quickly became friends and fans of each others unique skills. The idea for Tom and Petrit was to sit down in a studio and record these songs. The covid 19 virus messed up the plan so Tom decided to spend his time in his studio at home recording these pieces as a ‘Duet For One’. The idea for another album together with Petrit remains. Tom proudly presents Duet For One. The Solo Sessions.
