Tone West

Born and raised in South Jersey, “Tone West” is a recording artist with a story behind him. Tone spent most of his upbringing living right over the bridge in the Greater Philadelphia Area, which allowed him to develop a name for himself, as well as experience a range of different cultures at an early age.

Tone has been rapping since childhood but started taking the industry seriously in 2016, Tone started out by co-managing one of his best friends, Willingboro rapper Jimmy-D’s. The two grew up together and had a strong bond. On Sunday July 9th 2017, Jimmy-D’s was killed. The loss of Jimmy was hard on Tone, after a short hiatus from music, he made a commitment to Jimmy D’$ he would keep his legacy alive through Tones music and has been cultivating the vision since.

Tone West’s debut project in 2018, Vibes Pending, served as a tribute to Jimmy D’s. Vibes Pending intro “Ominous” is Tone’s stand out tracks to date, “Nostalgia” is another one of Tone’s more personal tracks as he reflects on conversations with Jimmy, who was a major influence on Tone pursuing this path.
