Riding a genre wave happening back in the states, the Tonistics were a kid group that featured Avner, brothers Gavriel and Avraham, and brothers Nathaniel and Beniyah. Their choreographed dance moves were more impressive than their vocal command, but as Joe Jackson hadn’t brought his five sons to Israel, the Tonistics were the next best thing. It was hard to resist this traveling show: a hard-hitting funk band, the gorgeous gospel soul of the Spirit Of Israel, and the energetic singing and dancing of the cherubic Tonistics.
