Tony Marino

Tony Marino is a composer, pianist, and recording engineer known for blending jazz, Latin jazz, and world music. His sound, influenced by bossa nova and bebop, has earned him a devoted following on platforms like Spotify, YouTube, and social media. Marino's musical journey began in South Philadelphia, studying under local musicians and gaining recognition with his Latin Jazz Project in 1997.

He has released several albums, including Tango Silhouette and Thank You For The Music, paying homage to jazz legends. Despite setbacks, like a 2023 injury, Marino's resilience fuels his creativity. His 20th album, Friday Night, and 21st, Tango Improvisations, showcase his evolving artistry. While rooted in Latin jazz, he remains open to new genres, exploring fresh musical territory.

This evolution is most evident in his latest release, The Rock Album, a departure from his Latin jazz roots. The album, featuring 12 original instrumental rock tracks, is a nostalgic nod to Marino’s childhood in 1960s-’70s South Philadelphia, capturing the raw energy and spirit of that time.
