Torcha

Torcha, born and raised in East London, is an artist who has been rapping and recording music since the age of 15 and comes from the ’07 Era of Grime, heavily influenced by the likes of Ghetts, Chip, P Money, Griminal & Dot Rotten. He grew up in a household where his older brother used to play a lot of rap music, with artists such as Tupac, Biggie & NWA coming out of the speakers, which made him fall in love with Hip Hop. He shows his versatility and lyrical ability throughout his music, with fast flows that include multi-syllabic rhyme schemes that can captivate any crowd, and he also demonstrates a chilled vibe with melodic hooks and catchy choruses, proving he can adapt to many different genres.

His debut EP ‘Patiently Waiting’, was released in 2018 and was a brilliant introduction to a talented rapper. He released 3 music videos to help promote the EP, which were also featured on Link Up TV, GRM daily & JDZ Media.
He has had his music played on BBC 1Xtra, Kiss, Reprezent Radio, Kane FM, Westside Radio, Pulse88 Radio plus more as well as gaining over 250K streams on Spotify.

He has performed at various venues throughout his career such as 02 Academy Islington, Boxpark Croydon for Eskimo Dance in 2021, Boxpark Shoreditch, Walthamstow Town Hall, East Ham Town Hall, White City/Stratford Westfield, Camden Rocks, Bournemouth and more.
