Equal parts gritty and intense
1883 Mag
Irresistible and raucous, offering a riveting listening experience
Earmilk
A guitar line which reminds me of The Jam's 'English Rose' but
then they go off in another direction all together
John Kennedy, Radio X
After electrifying performances at YNOT and Isle of Wight Festival, Toy Car is rapidly carving out a name for
themselves in the UK music scene. With fervent support from BBC Radio 1, Radio X, 1883, Gigslutz, and Earmilk, the
band has quickly become one to watch. Named in This Feeling’s ‘Big in 23’ list and having played sold-out shows
alongside Cheap Thrills and Lilacs, Toy Car is proving they are more than just hype—they are the real deal.
Despite only debuting live in September 2023, their energy and strikingly complete sound has solidified their reputation
as a must-see live act with two highly anticipated singles on the horizon, Thylacine and Jurassic Park.
Produced and mixed by Ben Harper, a producer whose credits include The Mysterines, The Karios, Keyside, The
Sherlocks, The Zutons, at The Motor Museum, one of Liverpool’s leading recording studios, instrumental in shaping
the sounds of The 1975, Bring Me The Horizon and Oasis no less. Packed with humour, grit, and sharp social commentary, the album weaves together elements of
indie, lo-fi and alternative, drawing inspiration from Cage The Elephant, Pixies, Fontaine's DC, while forging its own
unique style.
