Toyin Crandell

A worship leader for over 15 years, Toyin has pursued a life of radical obedience and through the ups and downs of her journey of faith, she has often found it easier to communicate her joy, faith, disappointment and awestruck wonder about God through songwriting, dance, and singing with her distinctly raspy vocals.

In a world where so many are confused by a lack of identity, and identify themselves by things that are subject to change - status, job, education, family etc; her desire is to see the body of Christ rooted in the only unchanging thing on this Universe. Being a child of God, through His son Jesus Christ and walking with Him in radical obedience.

This is evident in her first viral single, “Lay Myself Down” that gave language to audiences desiring to live a surrendered life. Since then, Toyin has kept this message relevant through every project, including her most recent album project, “Declaration of Dependence”.

Toyin has featured on multiple projects such as the album, Living out Love by The Love Movement 4:16, and the album, Sparrow by Joshua Crandell. As one of the lead artists off of the gospel music collective, The Love Movement 4:16, Toyin earned awards including the African Entertainment award recipient for Best African Female Gospel artist in Canada, and was the host of AMET TV’s “African Gospel Vibes with Toyin Dada”. She leads vocally on songs such as “What Is Too Difficult For You”, “Lay Myself Down,” and “I Will Sing.”
