Hailing from Decatur, GA, the hardcore crunk crew Trilltown Mafia were brought to the Rap-a-Lot label's attention by Don P., member of successful Southern rap outfit Trillville. With Don P. as their producer, Trilltown members Big Mel, Monte C, Lil' J-Rok, and Legacy built their reputation by releasing three aggressive, Southern-flavored underground mixtapes -- Welcome to Trilltown, Target Practice, and The Mi Tae -- before unleashing their slick "Town Walk" single, an instant club hit. Their official debut, It Goes Without Sayin, soon followed in the summer of 2006. The album featured the hottest cuts from their mixtapes along with guest appearances from Lloyd, Pimp C, and the members of Trillville. ~ David Jeffries, Rovi
