Bryson & Jill of Troubaduo met in 2008 when playing at a bar in Los Angeles, California. They soon began recording together, got married, and hit the road as two troubadours. A troubadour is someone who writes songs about love (God is Love - 1 John 4:16). Troubaduo is Christian music outside of the box. This does not resemble CCM, with roots rock, folk, blues, Gospel and Americana that God has instilled in them. So what does it sound like? Answer: secular music. God looks at the heart of man, and not outward appearance as man does. With music, it is the same way. Troubaduo's mission is to love God (Who is Jesus) and to love people.
Troubaduo's influences include Tom Petty, Mavis Staples and the Staples Singers, Elivs, CCR, Ella Fitzgerald, The Lack Family Band, Roger Miller, Rich Mullins, Chris Whitley, Willie Nelson, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Johnny and June Carter Cash, The Black Crowes and Mahalia Jackson. They have been compared to the Civil Wars, Bob Seger, Janus Joplin, and Chris and Morgane Stapleton.
In 2014 God led Troubaduo to record a 36 song multi-genre worship album <a href="spotify:album:7zodTazqbSRHQ2Gc9NWCBk" data-name="The Easy Yoke and the Two-Edged SWord">The Easy Yoke and the Two-Edged SWord</a>. Almost a decade later Troubaduo began playing music with their son Jedidah as a trio, using their talents to worship God in church, and to minister to people in venues with their singer-songwriter music. Signature Troubaduo releases includes the roots rock song <a href="spotify:track:6WfVjNnWtDAIPgyfv0L2gU" data-name="We Carry On">We Carry On</a>, the folk tune <a href="spotify:album:0NtyLjH4UTCcfResONbHjB" data-name="Song For Peace">Song For Peace</a> & even a Christmas blues rock remake <a href="spotify:track:2VdsJywrwGGF69UYmHjZe5" data-name="Angels We Have Heard On High">Angels We Have Heard On High</a>. #God
