True Jakczon

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, TrueJakczon (real name Sheldon Jackson) is a
multifaceted musician with a versatile style —from heavy hitting rap to soulful melodic R&B
straight from the heart, True does it all. True’s upbringing has always kept him grounded.
Growing up in the northwest end of a city where he’s always had to stay on his toes has
not only shaped his music, but it’s shaped who he is. Still a vocal part of his community, True
enjoys coaching youth basketball, and tries to be a positive role model for kids that were just
like him. He attributes the commitment to his community and his love of music to his father.
True’s father was a musician born and raised in Jamaica. Inspired by his father and the melodic
sounds of 70s dancehall, True visits Jamaica several times a year to draw inspiration from
the land of musical inspiration, hypnotic beats and intoxicating culture. In April 2020, True released his first EP, Almighty, a candid and personal insight into him as a person and as an artist. His music has over 50,000 streams from all over the world on several streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.True Jakczon plans on growing and becoming a major player in the music industry. the beginning.
