Born out of a basement home studio in Stokes Croft, Bristol, Tungz are a self-produced synth-pop four piece delivering shimmering grooves, psychedelic beats and friendship. The quartet of close friends – who found their feet in Bristol among a melting pot of funk, disco and dance music – moved to London to begin working on their debut album. Their first self-released single in 2018 landed them a signing with Jamz Supernova’s Future Bounce, who released Tungz’s first EP in 2019, followed by a second EP with Heist or Hit in 2021, which featured a collaboration with Bad Sounds. Their radio successes (BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, BBC Introducing) and electric live shows with the likes of Franc Moody, Her’s and Donny Benet set the scene alight in hot anticipation for their first full length offering. Having been awarded the PRS Foundation’s PPL Momentum Fund for artists at a pivotal turning point in their career, Tungz joined the ranks of a significant roster of artists for their eagerly anticipated album.
