This album was written by TuTone at a time of drug usage, breakup, and dealing with depression in many ways. He was able to conquer his life through counseling, and expressing himself through music, during the process of recording the album. It was a special time, so much anger from leaving his home at the age of 15 years old, dealing with his mother with many illnesses, his brothers being in and out of jail, & mentally/emotionally fighting for his life from being scarred in a relationship. Now his pain, suffering, and life struggles is what Soul Ties presents.
