British duo Two Shell blend U.K. garage, post-dubstep, and techno, often making use of semi-obscured vocal samples in their sophisticated, club-tooled tracks. First surfacing on the Bristol-based label Livity Sound with the 2019 EP Access, the pair gradually produced giddier, more rave-friendly tracks with subsequent releases such as their 2021 single "Home" and EPs Icons (2022) and lil spirits (2023).

The anonymous London duo first surfaced in late 2019 with Access, a Livity Sound-issued EP that drew from future garage and broken beat. Two Shell launched their Mainframe Audio imprint in 2020 with the white label 12" N35, which was followed by the four-track EP Touchpad. A mix titled IMPACT21 arrived at the end of the year, touching on dancehall, jungle, big beat, and other styles. A second EP for Livity Sound, SoulCity, appeared in 2021, and the duo contributed the track "Big Style" to the compilation Molten Mirrors: A Decade of Livity Sound. Two Shell also issued the cheeky, Alicia Keys-sampling big-beat throwback "Wedding Practice" and the ecstatic "Home," both as white labels. "Home" started to take off and was given a full digital release in early 2022. An EP titled Icons followed in June, and lil spirits appeared in 2023. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
