Type´s love for jazzy grooves, funky drum breaks and soulful melodies started early as a child of the Boom-Bap era, inspiring him to get his first MPC at the age of 12. Taking inspiration from legendary producers like Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Madlib and J Dilla. He spent most of his time devoted to chopping drum breaks and layering sounds and samples to develop his own unique style of production.
Today <a href="spotify:artist:5esWbbDTsZQ6mM3OHd4fSg" data-name="Type.Raw">Type.Raw</a> is both a DJ, producer, and multi-instrumentalist who produces for singers and rappers all around the globe. With a diverse sound and catalog that spans multiple genres like Jazz, Soul, Funk and Hip-Hop, he is always staying true to the original Boom-Bap sound that inspired him to start his craft.
His latest project "Rewind" is made with Paris based producers @Alcynoos and @Djparental
This project is feature heavy with songs by: Illa J, Kev Brown, A-F-R-O, Illconscious and Kid Abstrakt just to name a few.
