Typhoid

A psychedelic infused sound with influences from <a href="spotify:artist:5M52tdBnJaKSvOpJGz8mfZ" data-name="Black Sabbath">Black Sabbath</a> to <a href="spotify:artist:1IQ2e1buppatiN1bxUVkrk" data-name="Slayer">Slayer</a>, <a href="spotify:album:6obIWmqSdFCmfwWeuS8gmz" data-name="Typhoid">Typhoid</a> mixes in a world of blues and metal into one three piece band. The trio started playing in 2019, but the members that are in now started playing in late 2020. Based out of Moore, Oklahoma, Typhoid started to make a name for themselves with harsh crust punk origins. After the guitarist/vocalist, Blue Simmons, and the bass player Owen Hodge did LSD at Blue&#39;s grandmas&#39; house while the drummer Mateo Jeffcoat trip sat in horror, the whole sound of the band would change forever. Following a long and strange trip, and on no sleep, the trio would go outside at 7am in 30 degree weather to create their first psychedelic sound, Fractal. After this, the band would start playing shows and made a strong stage presence by wearing colorful and illusive patterning garments, similar to those of the mid-late 60&#39;s. While the two psychonauts of the band were always tripping on LSD or mushrooms, they were also writing new music that they hadn&#39;t heard in the local scene ever. The rebellion against the Oklahoma Hardcore scene is apparent in their writing and clothing, showing that <a href="spotify:album:6obIWmqSdFCmfwWeuS8gmz" data-name="Typhoid">Typhoid</a> does not stick to the books, and tries to be a new counter-culture no one has ever seen.
