Tzvi Erez was born in Israel and began his piano studies at the age of six. He moved to Canada and studied at The Royal Conservatory of Music (of the University of Toronto), where he trained with Mildred Kenton, Andrew Burashko, and Antonin Kubalek.
Erez collaborates with many different artists and genres. After many years in production and distribution by Sony Music, pianist Tzvi Erez received international recognition when he recorded and released his 'Beethoven Piano Works' and 'Tzvi Erez plays Chopin' under the Niv Classical Records label.
In addition to live solo concerts, Erez performed together with orchestral musicians from the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, as well as piano concertos with the full orchestra. In the movie 'A Real Pain' (Searchlight Pictures) featuring Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin, Erez performed the entire soundtrack featuring the music of Chopin. The movie won an Academy Award (Oscar) in 2025 for Best Supporting Actor - Kieran Culkin.
Erez has released over 50 albums worldwide, including major solo piano works and concertos of Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, Liszt, Satie, Mussorgsky, Mozart, Rachmaninoff, Grieg, Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Medelssohn, Saint-Saëns, and others.
Erez is active in new classical recordings (including immersive sound productions), teaching piano performance and classical music research, as well as production and licensing of music for major films and main-stream television shows.
