Ugolino is a Dublin-born jazz hip-hop project consisting of Shane Richardson and Oran Hurley. The duo made an explosive entrance with their debut single Early Hours — setting the tone for a sound rooted in storytelling.
They’ve since pushed further into contemporary jazz, releasing a string of distinctive singles: the nostalgic bebop sonata Three Stripes, the brooding, Orchard-backed Searching, and the double-sided big-band suite A Fonder Day / By the Canal. Ugolino's style has expanded of late — exploring more pop and hip-hop driven sounds in recent singles, collaborating with electronic artist Baril on the atmospheric Falling for You, and delivering a raw, emotional piano ballad with Dad.
