In 2005, while still a member of KIRINJI,Yasuyuki Horigome launched his solo project.
Born out of a desire to explore a more personal message and sound—sometimes raw, sometimes refined—it marked a new creative chapter.
In September 2005, he released his debut album “Uma no Hone” (“Horse Bones”), followed by his second album “River “in 2009.
Both releases were accompanied by nationwide tours, captivating audiences with an alternative band sound and his sweet, distinctive vocals—a contrast to his work with KIRINJI.
Twenty years later, in 2025, Umano Hone celebrated its 20th anniversary and released its first best-of album, “BEST OF UMA NO HONE 2005-2025,” featuring a new song for the first time in 16 years.
