The experimental indie rockband from Antwerp, Belgium came to life as a creative outlet during the 2020 pandemic, illustrated by their dreamy debut single 'summer is real'.
Combining a love for melody and the 20th century building blocks of rock with 21st century recording techniques, they developed their sound further on subsequent single 'life in orange / august 32nd', which was released on the Gazer Tapes label and warmly received by the Belgian music press.
In June 2023 'Brigada Internacional' is the energetic sixties-tinged single which shows UNACHICA is moving past being just a homerecording project. Press comparisons for 'brigada internacional' to the likes of The Stone Roses, dEUS and Deerhunter help listeners navigate the sprawling UNACHICA universe.
