Unique's first single called "Iko, Iko," entered at No 8 on the Austrian Top 40. That catchy song marked the successful beginning for the dance music outfit formed by keyboardist Erwin Geppner and guitarist Werner Freistätter, two former electronics students who became producers in the early-'90s. After releasing their debut album entitled Internity and the local top-selling full-lenght record Level 2, original members B.Nice and singer Jade Davis left the band to pursue solo careers. English rapper, model and dancer Christian Troy and Philippine singer Sheila Fernandez joined in before issuing the 2000 album Forever.
