Does surf music exist? It's probably a thing of the past, or perhaps it's not even a genre after all. If you think about surf music, Dick Dale with his instrumental music comes to mind, or even the Beach Boys, who talked about surf in the harmonies of their voices.
Attracted by the history of rock, the sun, by the smokes of California and the total inability of surfing, UNKLE KOOK dive into the ocean of surf music to unleash a stormy energy of sixteenth guitar notes and oceanic snare fills.
In 2021 they introduced, under the label Brutture Moderne, a wave of tracks recorded in-line that from the Mexican beaches of Burrito Sunrise break into a "Riviera" beat with the reckless track "Polkaina".
Live music is the essence of the band: it's where the true show begins, where the audience dances and can enjoy dives from the stage.. and it's not even a punk show!
