Upendo Moore

Upendo Moore was born in 1998 to parents Erika White & Jonathan Moore. Respective legends and pioneers in the Seattle hip-hop & music scene as EMCEE’s, promoters, producers, & independent label owners.


Growing up constantly surrounded by music being played and created Upendo naturally gravitated towards music early & started playing drums at 18 months old. Starting with a pair of bongos gifted to him on his first birthday & evolving to a full kit by his second birthday. His first recored album entitled “Upendo” was produced in 2002 when he was 4.


Throughout elementary and middle school he continued to play drums, but picked up trumpet as his primary instrument in concert band for 4 years. Ultimately his love for drums brought him back in 8th grade.


He was self taught until his freshman year of High school until he joined legendary music educator Clarence Acox’s Jazz Band as well as playing in the schools drum-line & marching band. Learning some parts of music theory through school enhanced his passion for producing in his spare time.


Developing and crafting his techniques as a producer since age 8 he is finally proud to showcase his abilities through his work with acts such as Dave B, Parisalexa, Sango, Xavier Omar & more.
