Heavy metal band from Argentina V8 was formed in the early '80s by Ricardo Iorio, joined by singer Alberto Zamarbide, guitarist Osvaldo Civile, and drummer Gustavo Rowek. V8 burst into the local rock scene while participating in the Buenos Aires Rock Festival in 1982, later having the opportunity to open for Spanish Barón Rojo. In 1983, the group's debut album, called Luchando Por El Metal, was released, followed by 1985's Un Paso Mas En La Batalla. Upon returning from a performance at Sao Paulo, Brazil, Civile and Rowek left the act, being replaced by guitarist Miguel Roldán and drummer Adrián Cenci. After issuing El Fin De Los Inicuos, V8 finally broke up in 1987. ~ Drago Bonacich, Rovi
