Piano Duo

Valeria Szervánszky & Ronald Cavaye have been performing as a piano duo since 1979 and have played extensively in Europe and the Far East - particularly in Japan where they regularly work – and the USA.

They have a special working and personal relationship with the Hungarian composer, György Kurtág, and made the first complete CD recording of the first four volumes (solos, duets and two pianos) of Játékok – Games. At the 1994 International Bartók Festival they also gave the Hungarian première of Kurtág’s Lebenslauf for two pianos and two basset horns and have since performed the work in Budapest and London (with members of the London Sinfonietta).

Valeria Szervánszky and Ronald Cavaye perform frequently in the USA and have played throughout Europe and China and have broadcast for the BBC and Hungarian Radio.
