VAN STEE returns with their long awaited sophomore release HEARTBREAKER NERVEWRECKER MEANSUCKER (releasing on June 22nd, 2018). The album was recorded over a 4 year period with Lance W Conrad at Humans Win Studios in Minneapolis. Through dense arrangements and biting lyrics Charlie writes about loss, co-dependence, acceptance and forging your own path while still navigating the road maps we are all given. At times, Heartbreaker Nervewrecker Meansucker is a darker affair than their debut album WE ARE. In spite of this new direction, the album still features the catchy melodies and memorable hooks you can expect from VAN STEE.
The band teamed up with local filmmaker Toph Heubach to interpret Charlie's felt artwork nightmares with animation. Using a combination of techniques, Toph directed the debut video for the very first single "Here Comes the Fire" featuring <a href="spotify:artist:2BjFgj9Vg3IVRSG8ETwp9Q" data-name="Haley Bonar">Haley Bonar</a> The album is available on Limited Edition Yellow Vinyl, all major streaming platforms and as a digital download. The initial run of Vinyl Records will be shipped with a one-of-a-kind, handmade BRAIN RECORD TOPPER! Designed and crafted by the band to place on your center spindle while the album turns for fun you'll want to share with everyone.
