Varices

Melodic death metal reborn.

Formed in 2017 in Sweden, Varices belongs to the new generation carrying on the extensive legacy of Swedish metal. Adding influences from both modern extreme metal and the heavy metal of the 70’s and 80’s to the acclaimed Gothenburg-sound, Varices take melodic death metal to new heights.

The four-piece group released their self-titled debut-EP Varices in November 2018, which soon earned the band local reputation. Within just a year, in November 2019, the journey continued with sophomore EP Pitch Black Art. The release paved the way for live shows throughout Sweden and the attention of a wider fanbase. The metal machinery continued in October 2021 with the release of the band’s third EP The Last Remnants. The release of the first full-length album The Undoing (2024-06-01) marks the beginning of a new Varices chapter, taking the music and the shows to a whole new level.

Combining fast, aggressive, songs with melody, emotion and intense live shows, Varices deliver a musical journey you will not forget – neither if it is experienced from home nor from the front of the stage. And with the new release of The Undoing, Varices is the new force to be reckoned with for any fan of melodic death metal.
