VERLOREN is a five piece band, based in The West Midlands. The band includes; Riley Veil on Vocals, Emily Elizabeth on bass, Ethan Coburn on Percussion with Willow Francis and Ciaran Barber on guitars. They formed in September of 2023 and have been playing shows across Birmingham since. The band fits within the ''Indie rock'' scene and is inspired by bands such as Crawlers, Trophy Wife, New Dad and early Backseat Lovers.
One of the things that makes VERLOREN’s music stand out is their clever use of lyrical dissonance — pairing upbeat, energetic instrumentals with lyrics that dive into deeper, sometimes heavier emotions. It’s that contrast that makes their songs hit differently. They’ll have you dancing to tracks about feeling lost, chasing meaning, or dealing with the chaos of everyday life. VERLOREN taps into topics we all recognize: heartbreak, self-doubt, friendships, and the weird in-between moments that define growing up. Their ability to turn those raw, real experiences into catchy, high-energy anthems creates a connection with their audience that feels honest, fun, and unexpectedly comforting.
