Verslinder

Unearthed from Belgian soil, Verslinder is a fresh addition to the black metal scene. For this solo-project, Michel Brouwers single-handedly took on instrumentals, lyrics and backing vocals. The work is topped off by the raw vocals of an original specimen of black metal: Kristian Brynjulfsen. Originating from the cradle of death/black metal, Bergen (Norway), Kristian has black metal blood running through his veins and is also know as the bassist of Psykopath. This Scandinavian flavor is not a coincidence, since the influence of bands such as Mayhem, Immortal and Emperor becomes clear in the way Verslinder embodies the Norwegian spirit with its gritty, sinister atmosphere and references to the occult.
Their fast-paced tracks are quick bursts of violence that get the message across in three minutes or less and tell mystical, dark tales which are part of their charm. Other than ominous undertones and signs of impending doom, Verslinder’s songs are also defined by their merciless brutality with an occasional melodic touch.
Optimistic about future performances, Verslinder is on an ambitious path that is riddled with all the growling, darkness and cross-twirling the black metal genre brings with.
