Vess (real name Yusufcan Hürsgünel) is born in 2003, one of the rising new comers of the Turkish rap scene. Having grown up with rap in his life, Vess started creating music in middle school and took his first serious step into the game with his debut single in 2020. Experiencing both the lows and the highs from a young age, his life was constantly moving between two cities – Duzce and Istanbul – with bus stations becoming his second home.
He gained his first momentum in 2024 with the label URBN. That period, however, was a bold statement against conventional moves in the music world; a deliberate “rage bait” approach that flipped the narrative and grabbed attention fast.
What sets Vess apart in this game is his ability to handle almost every aspect of his craft on his own. Vocals, beats, mix-mastering, even video editing and color grading. He does it all, driven as much by necessity as by skill. Building his music from the ground up gives him an edge that most newcomers can’t touch. 🐰 💕
