vhsgus (@gusbasmeson) is an American producer and artist based in South Florida. He is known for his blend of indie, pop, and lofi beats. Active since the early 2020s, his music explores themes of nostalgia, emotional introspection, and the interplay of memory and modern relationships.
His debut single, “Digital World”, was released in 2020 via Chill Beats Records. In 2021, he released “Flew Out To Sea” through Vinyl-Digital.
In 2022, vhsgus released a lofi cover of Ashanti’s R&B classic “Foolish,” which became a breakout hit. By 2023, he followed with the single “Red Light District” on Lofi Chill Records, the Auxjax collaboration “Miles Away” with Lofi Jazz Records, and the lofi ballad “Last Goodbye” on Magic Calm Records.
vhsgus is entering a new era. He will release two full-length projects: the instrumental album “LOFI MMRS” and the vocal album “20XX,” both slated for summer 2026.
