Pop/rock band from Guatemala Viento en Contra was formed in 1996 by guitarist Juan Cabrera, bassist Antonio Colom, drummer Javier Ortíz, and guitarist Edgar Pereira. In 1998, the band participated in the Alux Nahual's tribute album with a song called "Dime Que Has Olvidado." That same year, Viento en Contra's first album, called Esto Va Algo Asi..., was released. During its first years, the group started touring Central America, having the chance to play along with well-known Latin rock acts such as Maná, Ricardo Arjona, and Plastilina Mosh. In 1999, Viento en Contra made its first video, based on its song "Te Extraño." The following year, ¿13? was released. ~ Drago Bonacich, Rovi
