My name is Viktor Mjelde Olsen, and my stage name ViK. My journey to become an artist started when I was very young, even though would become a true artist later in life. Music has always been my main passion but i still wanted to be a professional basketball player early in life. The basketball culture played a key role in my musical taste and pretty much everything else in life. The hip-hop culture.

I first touched a true microphone about 6 years ago, something I waited to experience for years. I did this because I didn’t think I had the voice to be a professional artist. However, when I did so, my true life began. I actually passed out because my voice and how it sounded through a microphone was beyond good enough. I would then start to record songs, write songs, freestyle and explore my musical talents.

With Redemption I hope to make a difference in peoples lives and inspire as many people as I can. I guess we all need redemption in one way or another. Learn from my mistakes and yours and I will have victory. Hopefully it makes you feel empowered and gives you energy. The beat and sound of the song is mainly inspired by Travis Scott’s GOV BALL performance, and the feeling it gave me to watch Travis and Sheck Wes on stage together.
