Starting a new death metal band is always fun. But what when you decide to start with a song that you wrote 30 years ago to release as a single, and you cannot chose between the modern U.S. guitar sound and the Swedisth chainsaw guitar sound? Right, you do both! A unique chance for fans to discover both sounds in untouched pure early 90’s death metal.

Vile Art is formed by the Dutch musician Ivor van Beek (Non-Divine) in November 2023. Hungry to release his passion for death metal he decides to form a new band playing death metal how it’s done in the early 90’s influenced by both U.S. and Swedish bands. Furious blast beats alternated with groove riffs, screeching solos and melodic harmonies will take you back in time to the most glorious days of death metal.

The double release on all streaming platforms of the debut single “Trapped In The Desert” was Friday July 26th 2024. The single is mastered by the Danish producer Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Arch Enemy, Amaranthe, Flotsam & Jetsam) and will feature lyrics videos made by the Italian artist Andrea Mantelli (Destruction, Cryptopsy, Autopsy). Next up will be a full album with new material only.
