The 27-year-old producer/singer/rapper Joshua Bravo Nikolic, who as a solo artist goes under the name ViraVira, has been playing around with music since he was eleven years old.
The name ViraVira came to him as he was reading a book about medicinal plants. ViraVira is a South American herb used for its healing properties, and it is used for the treatment of asthma among other things. He wants it to be a constant reminder to people to use music as medicine.
In “Observing” he portrays three stages of consciousness; the Unconsciousness, the Conscience and the Conscience Dream State of Mind. The song is filled with emotions, melodies and heavy rhythm's.
- “I want to give people an experience, a journey through the rhythm of the song where they can hear the sounds change and form part of new melodic arrangements. A lot of the focus is on the music, I wanted every sound to represent the feeling of the different stages of consciousness.”
