A true child of music, Vita Schmidt grew up in Norway in a musical environment. She started singing at an early age, inspired by the likes of Edith Piaf or Stevie Wonder. Moving to Paris to finish high school, she formed her first band there and started to make a name for herself by playing some of the capital's main venues like La Boule Noire, Le Trabendo and Le Batofar. She then moved to the U.S. to study at Berklee College of Music. The four years spent there were a huge influence on her and it is there that she was given the opportunity to perform with the band Endangered Speeches, opening up for famous hip hop acts such as Talib Kweli and The Pharcyde.
After having performed at different venues since returning to Paris (Le Petit Bain, La Dame de Canton, Maison de la Norvège, Les Ecuries...), and collaborated with renowned djs as a featured artist (Klosman, Uppermost, Poetically...) Vita Schmidt now presents her debut album “Know Someone”.
