Voice In The Wire was born out of the Ashes of underground DIY punk heroes Teddy DuChamp's Army in 2003. The band spent that first year crafting what would become their only release " Signals In Transmission". They were quickly signed to New Jersey's Eyeball Records who had been getting a lot of attention after discovering Thursday, My Chemical Romance and Murder By Death and it seemed VITW was poised to be the next band to step up for the label. The album was recorded in February of 2004 and released to rave reviews on September 14th of the same year on Eyeball Records. They Immediately hit the road touring with bands such Paint It Black, 7 Seconds, None More Black, The Loved Ones, My Chemical Romance, and Murder By Death including slots on NYC's CMJ festival and The Fest in Gainesville. Just as momentum was building for the band, just 6 months after the release of "Signals", the band shockingly and inexplicably broke up. They played their final show with Kid Dynamite and Grey Area to a sold out crowd at NYC's legendary CBGB's.
Since the break up, the band has played a handful of reunion shows and their album was re-released on Vinyl via Underground Communique Records with co-operation from Lock And Key Collective and Eyeball.
