Waahiid is a Spanish beat maker and visual artist based in California. As a kid of the 90s he got sucked into his city’s hip-hop scene and his curiosity made him explore almost any art discipline related to the culture. His multiple artist names would pop up on and off among different local hip-hop crowds from B.boying to graffiti, but it was music production and the experimental beat scene what always attracted him the most. In 2012 he moved to California and lived in East Los Angeles, where he got deeply impacted by Chicano Art and American cubism, and lived first hand the vibrant and influential beat scene taking place in the city. His current work is a direct reflection of his journey across disciplines, art movements, and places.
