Formed in 1986 in Los Angeles, CA, Waldo The Dog Faced Boy was an improv/art rock ensemble featuring core members: Mary Ellen Mason (vocals), Tom Grimley (guitar), <a href="spotify:artist:6H0BGNsWkD3AZNqJ3dEHPI" data-name="Devin Sarno">Devin Sarno</a> (bass), Jim Richards (trombone) and Elijah Koenig (drums). Past members also included: <a href="spotify:artist:5hav9fkqvVZZYccx7cYHL0" data-name="Tim Gallaher">Tim Gallaher</a> (key sound-boards) and Chris Stevens (guitar) among other rotating guests over the years. The band's studio albums included: "Wood", "Gifts of Finest Wheat" and "Tingle" as well as a collaborative 10" vinyl release (with fellow Los Angeles band <a href="spotify:artist:0tXdvAMrxsEOVmnMJIHolv" data-name="that dog.">that dog.</a>) and the 7" "Suite American." Waldo disbanded in 1994. The digital release "The Complete Studio Recordings" compiles all of the band's recorded output during their existence, including 4 previously unreleased songs.
