James has always been connected to art since childhood, collecting cassette tapes and CDs.
That was 2001 and he was already delving into the deepest roots of dance music, listening from contemporary techno to Kraftwerk. His first performance was in 2009 and from then on he understood that this would be his life, but it was only in 2013 that he was able to really express himself and began to follow his own path towards musical creation. A lot of effort was put into this and in 2016 Waltervelt was created.
The artist became one of the big names at Ellum Audio and his talent crossed borders, receiving support from some industry medallions such as Maceo Plex, Solomun, DJ Hell, Raxon, Zombies in Miami, Roe Deers, among others. Some important parties on his journey is the Warung Beach Club, where he played with the boss label Maceo Plex.
His music has frequently been in the upper echelons of the Beatport charts since his explosive first release, "Lunar Operation" in 2019.
Afterlife, Time Warp, Awakenings, Dekmantel, Warung, Universo Paralello, Brunch in the Park and Neopopfestival were some of the stages where their tracks were played.
