Emerging from the shadows with a haunting blend of beauty and despair, carving a path through Ethereal Black Metal, Wander Lust balances dreamlike soundscapes with the raw weight of blackened riffs and spectral melodies. The album explores themes of solitude, transformation, and the search for solace within the vastness of dreams.
Wander Lust began as a solo project by Luna Sanchez in 2020. While living in Cocula, Jalisco during the global lockdown, Luna found herself isolated with her two children, Athena and Xaden. In that solitude, she turned inward, channeling her emotions into a series of DIY demos quietly uploaded to YouTube.
With Solace of a Dream , Wander Lust unveil their most complete vision yet. Luna, a professional portrait and fine art photographer, also directs all of the band’s photography and videography, capturing the aesthetic essence of Wander Lust in every frame. “This album is the sound of solitude transformed into something alive,” says Luna. “It came from nights of dreaming, grieving, and hoping — and finally letting the music become my escape.”
What started as personal demos evolved into a transcendent body of work blending ethereal atmospheres with the heaviness of black metal.
