War Baby

<a href="spotify:artist:4wDSazZ8Mw5JTMyJ3ki3Xb" data-name="War Baby">War Baby</a> is a heavy power trio from Vancouver, Canada. The group is comprised of songwriting kindred spirits Brock Allen (vocals, bass), Jon Redditt (vocals, guitar) and Kirby Fisher (drums, vocals).

To date, War Baby has released two EPs (Permanent Frown and <a href="spotify:album:2MTy8g1Ffz5fDCfKbRQ4Yi" data-name="Coma Kid">Coma Kid</a>) and two LPs (<a href="spotify:album:0JkKorbeJtl9nrPgR3D224" data-name="Jesus Horse">Jesus Horse</a> and <a href="spotify:album:58vCWrRkeTiFbXlDJRdzt4" data-name="Death Sweats">Death Sweats</a>). Their upcoming 3rd full length record “You Are Not Here” is out 03/20/20.

The new album was tracked, mixed and co-produced with Jordan Koop (The Noise Floor Recording Studio), whose vast recording credits include <a href="spotify:artist:46auOkH1pk28rWrSoUNhLo" data-name="Orville Peck">Orville Peck</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0XSqX2PB3C5dTMv7SZaxSm" data-name="Wolf Parade">Wolf Parade</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6NayGIgExrNwxUk6MHnMPN" data-name="Dead Soft">Dead Soft</a>, the latter of whom make guest appearances on &quot;You Are Not Here&quot;. An onslaught of video media and a West Coast US tour are to follow the March release, details of which will be found on their website warbabymusic.com.

War Baby&#39;s RIYL (which runs the gamut of alternative, proto-punk and noise rock greats) is both relevant but also limited as they always stir their influences professionally.

Like the oft forgotten micro-generation that they are named for, the outfit creates beauty out of ugliness, clarity out of confusion, creation out of defamiliarization. War Baby makes “strange” a good thing.
