"Aibu", has also received a warm reception, further solidifying their growing influence in the music scene. Describing their music as Sonic Stories, Maggie and Gloria use their lyrics to share their personal journeys—focusing on themes of love, loss, dreams, and resilience.
At the core of their sound is a deep commitment to their cultural roots, with Swahili playing a key role in their storytelling. “We believe that culture is at the heart of who we are,” the duo explains. “Swahili is more than just a language for us—it’s part of our identity, our history, and our connection to the world.
In our music, we celebrate this heritage and the stories that come with it.
With their sights set on the global stage, We Are Nubia is determined to continue creating music that resonates with people everywhere, celebrating the power of music to unite and inspire.
