This high energy 8-piece outfit has been together since early 2016, with their music ranging from 80’s to 90’s Cali Roots & Reggae Music. Their sound is recognizable with intensely catchy grooves, smooth vocals and biting instrumentals thrown into the mojo mix. Unknown to others, We Got’s drummer Thoper Laroco and Bassist Nam Cogal are part of Soupstar Music’s technical crew. Laroco is Sandwich’s drum tech while Nam is Moonstar88’s guitar tech. Soupstar manager Darwin Hernendez got to see and hear how great the band was that he added them in the Soupstar roster or artists and helped them be signed under Sony Music Philippines, one of the country’s major labels. Now, they have their album “Hiwaga” with singles “Lihim na Pagtingin and Cindy among others.
The unity of the eight passionate musicians with their notably talented vocalist is evident in their live gigs. Part of the success of the band relies on their mutual respect and understanding of each other’s musicality as every member takes an active role in the band. Their diverse backgrounds and taste all add to their creative mix.
