Formerly known as the Honor Roll, San Diego's We Shot the Moon was formed by <a href="spotify:artist:3etlftAGot4Og2uaXTagBr">Jonathan Jones</a> when his previous band, <a href="spotify:artist:2GCF64QmPWSaklaXugA9Us">Waking Ashland</a>, broke up. After recruiting Dan Koch and Joe Greenetz for the new project, the trio posted four songs on MySpace as the Honor Roll in July 2007.
